Our Story
Why We Exist
Iconic Beauty & Wellbeing CIC was founded by Ilona Kors, a qualified cosmetologist and aesthetic practitioner with nearly a decade of experience in the beauty industry. Through her years of practice, Ilona witnessed how professional skincare and wellbeing sessions could transform not just skin, but confidence, mental health, and overall quality of life.
She also saw how many people in the Bournemouth community were unable to access these services due to financial barriers, social isolation, or lack of awareness. This inspired the creation of Iconic Wellbeing as a Community Interest Company, dedicated to providing free and subsidised wellbeing support to those who need it most.
Our approach sits between general advice and crisis intervention. We provide preventative support that catches people before problems escalate, using professional skincare expertise as a practical, non-clinical tool for building confidence and improving mental wellbeing.
What is a CIC?
A Community Interest Company (CIC) is a special type of limited company that exists to benefit the community rather than private shareholders. All of our income is reinvested into delivering wellbeing services. This structure ensures transparency, accountability, and a permanent commitment to social impact. CICs are regulated by the CIC Regulator and must demonstrate that their activities benefit the community.

Our Founder
Ilona Kors
Ilona Kors is an award-winning aesthetic practitioner with over a decade of experience in the beauty and wellbeing industry. She holds an International Cosmetology qualification at Merit level and specialist training in aesthetic medicine, and has built a reputation for treatments that genuinely deliver results.
In 2023, she was named Best Beauty Therapist at the HBA Hair & Beauty Awards UK and placed 2nd in Beauty Therapist of the Year in Dorset. Her work has also gained international recognition, including a Golden Star Award from Hair & Beauty Stars Magazine, placing her among the Top 10 professionals in the industry.
Her expertise has been featured in industry publications, including "It's More Than Beauty" in The Leaders UK - Business and Charity Magazine, and "Ilona Kors' Masterpiece in Aesthetics" in Hair & Beauty Stars Magazine.
In 2025, Ilona was invited to judge and sponsor Miss Tolerance International, where she also received the Tolerance & Understanding Award for her contribution to community engagement and wellbeing accessibility. Through Iconic Wellbeing, she is now putting that commitment into practice by making professional care accessible to those who might not otherwise have access to it.
